DIG for Saturday the 2nd of February…..you are now a servant to righteousness…..Romans 6 v 18

Because of the nature of man we are all born sinners, this is just a fact of life.

When we are born again we have that sin nature removed or cut away and a new perfect sinless nature put in its place.

At this point we became righteous. This is a once event and if you are a believer it is an event in your past.

So instead of being a servant or slave to our old sin nature we become a servant or slave to righteousness.

That is good news.

We cannot stop being righteous; we cannot become any less righteous.

In the eyes of God we are as righteous as we will ever be and that is as righteous as Himself!

We also cannot become any more righteous; we are simply righteous.

Righteousness is a state of being, and in your spirit right now you are righteous.

As believers we simply need to trust the Word of God and accept that we have become and have been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5 v 21 and Romans 5 v 1).

Speak this out today……”Thank you Lord that I am righteous”.

Lessons in Love Introduction

In this first meeting of Lessons in Love, Nunsy introduces her new teaching series based on Titus 2 v 4, and then continues into her first foundational teaching.

I would recommend this wonderful teaching to everyone and not just ladies.

Nunsy gives us a brief history of her journey with the Lord and then brings what we have in Christ; and we see that sin is not an issue any more!

DIG for Friday the 1st of February…..being made righteous is an event and not a process…..Romans 5 v 1

I have heard over and over again that as a Christian I should be performing good works and striving for right standing with God and for His forgiveness.

This is not what the Bible says!

We are rendered and declared righteous; becoming righteous is not a process.

We are made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ. That is what we read in the Bible in Romans 5 v 1.

We are made righteous because of faith in Jesus and are therefore at peace with God.

Being made righteous is not a process but a once for ever event.

We are made righteous when we are born again; this is made clear in 2 Corinthians 5 v 17 to 21.

Verse 17 is talking about our born again experience and verse 21 says we are made righteous because of the Jesus.

This is good news however it gets even better; when we are made righteous we are made the righteousness of God.

Yes, when we are born again we are made as righteous as God in our born again spirit; our spirit is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4 v 24).

Rejoice today that you are righteous and have right standing and acceptance from God.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have been made righteous”.

Romans 5 v 1…..Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ
