Light is an amazing natural phenomenon; I’ve still not been able to get my head around how it can display the properties of a wave at the same time as the properties of a particle (but I’m a chemist and mathematician and not a physicist).
Light powers our world and keeps every natural process going.
The food chain eventually comes back to plants and algae producing their own food from photosynthesis (a wonderful piece of chemistry and engineering designed by Jesus).
Without light there would be no life.
The same is true for Jesus, but in a spiritual sense.
Without Jesus there is no spiritual life; without Jesus we would be spiritually dead.
We are born spiritually dead in sin (Romans 5 v 12); we are spiritually born again when we trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour (Romans 10 v 9).
He is our light; He provides our spiritual life, without Him we are lost and in perpetual darkness.
Light is essential for life, and so is Jesus!
