Light is an essential requirement for everyday life; just think what it’s like when there is a power cut and the lights go put, we all start rushing about trying to find candles.
We just do not like being in the dark, we need light to see where we are going.
Light is essential for us to stay in the right direction; in Scotland we often hear of people getting lost in the mountains as night falls.
To go in the right direction you need light to see the way.
Jesus says He is the light of the world.
The words of Jesus are what a believer uses to keep them going in the right direction.
We listen to the Word of Jesus in order to know what to do, where to go and how to live our lives.
Jesus directs us and guides us through His Word.
A believer needs to look to Jesus for guidance and direction.
Proverbs 3 v 4 tells us to trust in Him more than in ourselves.
He knows the direction we need to go in and is willing to tell us if we listen.
He is our light!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you guide me in the way best for me”.
