DIG for Friday the 22nd of February…….I am come that they might have have life…..John 10 v 10

John 10 v 10 is not actually one of the “official” I am statements from Jesus, but it is a major notice of intent.

In this verse Jesus tells us why He came.

He came to destroy the works of the enemy, including illness and poverty.

He came to give us life, and life in abundance; and yes, this includes healing and prosperity.

3 John v 2 says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”.

The Lord wants us to live in healing and prosperity, even if most of the church seems to think otherwise.

Abundance means over and above, more than is necessary.

Many in the church do not think this; they feel, especially in the area of prosperity, that abundance is against the teaching of Jesus.

This is not the case. He took our illness and disease to bring us healing (Isaiah 53 v 4 and 5) and he became poor to make us rich (2 Corinthians 8 v 9).

We must remember however that prosperity has a purpose; to sow into the Kingdom and give into all good works.

Jesus died so that we could have life in abundance, and this includes healing and prosperity.

Believe and receive what Jesus died for!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that through the finished work of Jesus I have been healed and made prosperous”.

John 10 v 10…..The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
