As a born again believer, being in Christ, you have been reconciled to God; you have been brought back into relationship with Him.
This is great news; you have been changed forever because of this.
And you have also been given a task, or role or job to go along with this state of reconciliation.
You have been given a ministry.
Now, sometimes in the church we feel that it is only the “super-dupers” who have a ministry; we see powerful people with a healing ministry or a teaching ministry for example.
The truth is that every single believer has a plan and purpose from God (Jeremiah 1 v 5 and 29 v 11 and Isaiah 49 v 1 and 5).
Each one of us has an individual plan and purpose, yet we also have a common purpose or ministry; we have given the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5 v 18).
I do not think that this means we are to reconcile people to each other (although that is an admirable aim); this is about us telling people about how they can be reconciled to God; this is about us preaching the Gospel.
We are to tell people about the finished work of Jesus Christ, how that can bring them into relationship with God and how it can lead them to a victorious and abundant life.
How this reconciliation can lead to peace and joy, healing and wholeness and prosperity.
Now that is a good ministry to have!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have the privilege of working in the ministry of reconciliation”.
2 Corinthians 5 v 18…..And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation
