DIG for Saturday the 15th of March…..He has a plan and a purpose for you, yes, even you…..Acts 10 v 34

If you’ve been reading the DIGs recently you will know that we all have been given the ministry of reconciliation, this ministry is part of the communal plan and purpose that each of us is part of (2 Corinthians 5 v 18).

We all however have an individual plan and purpose as well, that God has planned for you before you were created.

The Lord had a plan for Jeremiah to be a prophet to the nation, a plan that was in place before his birth (Jeremiah 1 v 5).

Isaiah had a plan from the Lord as well, a plan that was in place before he was born (Isaiah 49 v 1 and 5).

But this was for Isaiah and Jeremiah you me be saying, what does this say about me?

Well, Acts 10 v 34 is a very important passage of Scripture; it says that God is “no respecter of persons”; this means that he has no favourites, so what he has done for one person he will do for you.

You can read Scripture and see God doing something for a person and then transfer that onto yourself.

God had a plan and purpose for Isaiah and Jeremiah (and Paul and John and Peter and Priscilla for example), so he has a plan and purpose for you.

And that plan and purpose is good, it is not evil, and the Lord has it well planned (Jeremiah 29 v 11).

What an awesome truth!

You may think that your life does not amount to much, yet the Living God, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, has a plan and purpose for you; you are very special!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you have a plan and purpose for my life, and thank you that this plan is good”.

Acts 10 v 34…..Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons
