DIG for Monday the 13th of October…….even Jesus had to deal with unbelief…..Luke 8 v 53 and 54

Jesus had to deal with many things as He walked this earth as a man, and one such thing was the unbelief of others.

We see that He had trouble performing miracles close to His Home due to the unbelief of people (Matthew 13 v 57 and 58).

We see Him struggling with the unbelief of His disciples (Mark 9 v 17 to 19).

In this account Jairus’ daughter is clearly dead, that can be seen in the physical; it is a physical fact.

But Jesus operates in the spiritual realm and spiritual truths are more powerful than physical facts.

He knows that but the people cannot see this and laugh and make fun of Him.

Jesus removed those people, as He knew their unbelief would affect the outcome for this girl.

The unbelief was removed and Jesus raised her from the dead; the spiritual truth that Jesus could raise people from the dead was more powerful that the physical facts.

What we think and say affects our lives, as does the attitudes and behaviours of those we have around us.

We do not need attitudes of unbelief in our lives; that is not good for us.

Make a conscious choice to be positive, looking to spiritual truths rather than physical facts and surround yourself with people who do the same!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that there is more to this life than the physical, thank you for all the spiritual truths we have through the finished work of Jesus Christ”.

Luke 8 v 53 and 54…..And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise
