For many believers the Christian life seems to be about coming to Christ and then trying to get better and better, almost graduating into a better way of life.
It seems to be a constant struggle trying to work and make things better.
Does this sound familiar?
The truth is that the Christian life should be about coming to Christ and then discovering more and more about what He has already done for us.
The Word says that we have already been given all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1 v 3).
The Word says we are complete in Him (Colossians 2 v 10).
The Word says that you have already been given all things that pertain to life and Godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3).
The Christian life is a life of discovery not a life of works; or it should be!
Knowledge of Jesus is required in order to see what you already have been given pertaining to life and godliness manifest in your life (2 Peter 1 v 3).
It is not works that are required it is knowledge; that is why I say this life should be a life of discovery and not works.
The process of discovery is exciting and fun, hence so should your Christian walk.
Do not be burdened down trying to work your way better, that will never work and I tell you now it will not be exciting and fun!
Start or continue on the process of discovering what Jesus has already done for you through His finished work.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I already have all I need for life and godliness, help me discover these truths through your Word”.
2 Peter 1 v 3…..According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue
