DIG for Monday the 29th of December…..the value of dreaming……Genesis 37 v 5

As a young boy in school (a long time ago) I remember being told that it was not good to daydream.

I now realise that this was wrong and that it is of great value to dream.

Dreaming is nothing more than positive imagination, thinking about good things that you want to happen in the future.

Dreaming is the opposite of worrying, this is negative imagination, thinking about bad things that may happen.

We all seem to be very good at worrying; I think it is time for us to get better at dreaming.

Joseph had dreams and spoke them out and we see that they eventually came to pass (it took about thirteen years mind you).

As a human we cannot do anything without it starting as a thought in our head, and there are spiritual laws in place governing our thoughts, words and actions.

As a man thinketh so is he and death and life are in the power of the tongue are two fundamental spiritual laws that the Lord has set in place in this universe (Proverbs 23 v 7 and 18 v 21).

Joseph dreamed dreams and spoke them out.

They brought opposition and persecution, and this will come to you also if your dreams are Godly and part of the plan and purpose that God has for your life.

But they will come to pass as long as you press on and stay on the course that God has for you.

This was true for Joseph and it will be true for you.

My friends, I urge you today to start dreaming big!

Speak this out today……”Thank you Lord for the power of positive imagination and thank you that you have a plan and purpose for my life”.

Genesis 37 v 5…..And Joseph dreamed a dream, and told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more
