DIG for Wednesday the 25th of February…..all judgement already drawn unto Him…..John 12 v 32

Do you know that if you are reading the King James Bible there have been some additions added by the translators that were not there in the original Greek?

One such example is seen in John 12 v 32, where the word “men” was not in the original Greek manuscripts.

The traditional teaching for this verse is that all men will be drawn to Jesus once we lift Him up in our lives; well, I don’t know about you but I know that there are some men who have still not come to Jesus.

This verse is written in the context of Jesus talking about judgement and about His crucifixion.

He says, “Now is the judgement of the world” (John 12 v 31).

He then tells us that He will be lifted up or crucified and will draw all unto Him.

In the original Greek manuscripts this is clearly talking about judgement and not men.

John 12 v 33 shows us that this is talking about the crucifixion, the way in which He would die.

He would die on a cross and draw all judgement for sin upon Himself, what a Saviour.

As I’ve written before in a DIG I am not sure what exactly is going to happen on what we know as the day of judgement.

However I know one thing, I (and you) will not be judged for sin.

Sin has already been judged and sin has already been dealt with through the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus Christ, and thank you that I can have boldness of the day of judgement”.

John 12 v 32…..And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me
