DIG for Sunday the 8th of March…..repetition is essential…..2 Peter 1 v 12

You should never get bored of hearing the truth from the Word of God, even if you have heard it before.

Peter knew the value of repetition when he wrote his second epistle.

He said he would remind people about what they already knew (2 Peter 1 v 12).

Indeed he said he would be negligent if he did not do this.

Peter wanted to do this, as people are prone to forget what they know.

He said for example that people had forgotten about their forgiveness from sin (2 Peter 1 v 9).

We need to be told again and again that we have absolute and unconditional forgiveness from God (Ephesians 1 v 7 and Colossians 1 v 14).

We need to be told again and again that we have been made righteous as a gift of grace through faith in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5 v 21).

We need to be told again and again that our born again spirit has been created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4 v 24).

We need to be told again and again that above all things God wants us to live in health and abundance (3 John 2).

If you are getting bored hearing the truths from His Word can I respectfully suggest that you do not have a true revelation about what you are hearing.

Truth is not boring even if we have heard it before; truth is exciting and comes from His Word.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the truth from your Word, and thank you for the teachers that are bringing this to our attention again and again”.

2 Peter 1 v 12…..Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth
