DIG for Tuesday the 24th of March…..choose to let your heart not be troubled…..John 14 v 1

We are living in troubled times, but we do not have to live a life where we are troubled.

In this passage of Scripture Jesus is talking to His disciples before what would become the most difficult period of their lives.

Jesus would be imprisoned and killed; His life and ministry would seem to be at an end.

This would very naturally trouble the disciples.

But Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled”.

He told the disciples not to fear, worry or be anxious, in other words He told them to have peace during this trying and difficult time.

He also gave them the means by which to do this, He told them to believe in God and believe in Him.

Isaiah wrote something very similar, saying to keep your mind in perfect peace you should keep it focussed on the Lord.

Belief in God and Jesus and then fixing your mind upon them is the perfect way to live in these troubled times, resulting in a life of peace.

If we are finding that troubles and anxieties are causing us problems then we can say that in some area or another we are not focusing on Him.

Changing our thinking and areas of focus will change the levels of trouble or peace we live in.

Go on; give it a try!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that we can live in perfect peace if we keep our minds fixed upon you”.

John 14 v 1…..”Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me”.
