Many people have said to me that they cannot hear from God; as much as they try they think that God is not speaking to them.
This is not the truth.
The truth is that God is always speaking to us; the truth is that we are not listening or not hearing.
In John 10 Jesus talks about sheep and shepherds.
He is the shepherd and we, as believers, are His sheep.
He says that the sheep hear His voice and follow Him (John 10 v 27).
From this we can be assured that Jesus is therefore talking to us; He has to be talking for us to hear and follow.
Sheep get to know their shepherd through time, by listening to him and being around him.
Another reason for us not hearing from the Lord is because we are not spending time with Him.
The more we are in His presence, the more we will listen, hear and recognise His voice.
Quantity of time as well as quality time is required with the Lord; giving the Lord a few minutes when we get up and a few minutes before we go to bed is not enough time to develop a relationship to the extent that we can hear from Him.
I say this with all due respect, but it is the truth; if you are not hearing from God it is not for His want of trying, it is your fault for not listening or hearing!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you are talking to us constantly, help me to enter into Jesus’ rest in order to listen, hear and follow”.
John 10 v 27…..My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me
