DIG for Saturday the 9th of May….. met at their expression of faith; Jairus…..Mark 5 v 22 and 23

In the Word we read about different people, operating from different levels of faith.

In DIG yesterday we read about the centurion who only needed to hear the words of Jesus.

Today we are looking at Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue.

He needed help from Jesus as his daughter was at death’s door, and he wanted Jesus to come to his house and lay hands on his daughter.

That is what Jairus needed from Jesus; we could say in terms of levels of faith his was lower than that of the centurion.

Yet Jesus did not rebuke Jairus saying, “Why do I need to come, are my words not enough?”

He did not compare Jairus to the centurion, or anyone else for that matter.

He had love, mercy and compassion for Jairus and did what he wanted and needed; he went with him to the house.

He dealt with Jairus on a one to one level, as an individual.

This friend is the way Jesus will relate to you.

He wants a one to one relationship, meeting your needs at your level.

Never think that you do not have enough faith, remember that you have the measure of faith and it is the faith of Christ (Romans 12 v 3, Galatians 2 v 20 and Philippians 3 v9).

Ask from Jesus at the level that you are prepared to ask and be ready to receive.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that Jesus wants a personal relationship with me and wants to relate to me on my level”.

Mark 5 v 22 and 23…..And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet, And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she way be healed; and she shall live

DIG for Friday the 8th of May….. met at their expression of faith; the Centurion…..Matthew 8 v 8

One of the expressions of faith that really impresses me is that of the Centurion that we read about in Matthew 8.

He had a sick servant and asked Jesus to heal him, which of course Jesus said He would do (Matthew 8 v 7).

Jesus was going to go to the house, but the centurion said that was not required (Matthew 8 v 7).

He said all that was required was for Jesus to speak out healing, and this is his awesome expression of faith.

He did not need Jesus to go and lay hands on the man, he didn’t need Jesus to come with him, he just needed the words of Jesus.

This is an amazing example of faith for us today, and of course, it was amazing back then.

Jesus said that He had never seen such an expression of faith before (Matthew 8 v 10).

Today we have the Word of God, but this is not enough for some people.

Sometimes we need an experience to help raise our levels of faith, when actually all we need is to believe the Word.

I’m sure you are the same as me in that the Word is enough for some parts of my life and for whatever reasons not enough in others.

This does not condemn me and should not condemn you, it just means that our expression of faith is not quite at the level of the centurion.

We can work on this, with regards to understanding and believing the Word more.

But the great thing is that even if we are not at that level Jesus will meet us where we are (see more tomorrow).

Speak this out today….”Thank you Lord for your Word, and thank you for the truth held within your Scriptures that has the power to change my life”.

Matthew 8 v 8…..The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed

DIG for Thursday the 7th of May…..met at their expression of faith; every single time…..Revelation 3 v 20

We did some Bible study recently looking at people with different expressions of faith.

We know that we all have the same faith; it is the measure of faith and it is the faith of Christ (Romans 12 v 3, Galatians 2 v 20 and Philippians 3 v 9).

However, we operate and express that faith in different levels at different times of our lives, and based on our level of knowledge, understanding and unbelief.

Every time Jesus met these different people where they were in terms of their level of faith.

He did what was required for each person in an individual manner.

You see every person (including you) is loved and cherished by Jesus Christ, and He deals with everyone in the way that they (and you) need.

Do you just need to hear His Word?

Do you need help with unbelief?

Do you need encouragement?

Do you need something more or something else?

Jesus has the love, compassion and mercy to meet you at your point of need and at your level of faith expression.

If you ask Jesus for help (healing for example) He will say yes; if you open the door He will come in and have relationship with you (Revelation 3 v 20).

He loves you and wants you to live in health and abundance; He wants the very best for you and has a way of helping you (3 John 2 and John 10 v 10).

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for Jesus, thank you that He is ready, willing and able to help me in any and ever situation”.

Revelation 3 v 20…..Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me
