I have been thinking about the word “all” since I wrote the DIG yesterday.
It really is a big word and has a huge implication in ant phrase it is used in.
At MGF we really know the meaning of this word, and when I ask the fellowship they say it means “to the exclusion of nothing”.
God wants ALL men to come to repentance, He wants to see ALL men saved (2 Peter 3 v 9).
ALL men have been given the opportunity for salvation through the finished work of Jesus Christ; for this ALL sin has been paid for.
Jesus was the propitiation for ALL sin for ALL men (1 John 2 v 2).
Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, the offering for sin, once for ALL men (Hebrews 10 v 10).
All means to the exclusion of nothing, so no sin was missed and no man is exclude from the offer of salvation.
Anyone, or whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10 v 13).
Whosoever means anyone and everyone, and indeed anyone and everyone can be saved.
This is only the case as ALL sin has been paid for and dealt with by Jesus once and for ALL for ALL time.
Nothing has been missed out, nothing has been excluded, and it has ALL been paid for.
Speak this out….”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus Christ, and thank you that ALL my sin has been paid”.
2 Peter 3 v 9…..The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance
