DIG for Saturday the 8th of August…..righteousness is all about position and nothing about performance…..Romans 3 v 28

Righteousness, or right standing with God (acceptance and approval from God) has nothing to do with what you do or do not do.

You are not required to do good deeds or have less sin in your life for God to accept and approve of you, for you to be righteous.

Righteousness is all about your position with the Lord through Christ and nothing to do with your religious performance.

The Jewish nation tried to earn righteousness through works and deeds of the law but failed (Romans 9 v 31 to 33).

Yet Paul says that the Gentiles were righteous, not through works but through faith (Romans 9 v 30).

If you are in Christ (born again, saved) you have been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5 v 17 to 21).

Paul says that a man is justified (or made righteous) through faith without any works or deeds (Romans 3 v 28).

The Word is crystal clear in this matter; a man is made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work.

With the heart man believeth into righteousness (Romans 10 v 10); we are made righteous the second we come to faith and put our trust in Jesus Christ’s performance rather than our own.

Do not let any man tell you that you have to do this, do that, stop this and stop that for God to accept you, approve of you or see you with right standing.

Believe the Word when it says you have already been made righteous.

Tell yourself that you are righteous, understand that you are righteous and believe that you are righteous, then my friend you will see “better performance” in our life.

An awareness of righteousness must come before you can live a more holy life (1 Corinthians 15 v 34).

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that as a gift of grace through faith in Jesus I have already been made righteous”.

Romans 3 v 28…..Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law
