Many people think that the Christian walk is all about getting through this life on earth and then receiving good things once we get into Heaven.
Now, I don’t doubt that Heaven is going to be awesome and full of wonderful things, but life is meant to be good (or abundant) for Christians while here on earth (John 10 v 10).
Life under the new covenant is not meant to be a life waiting for good things.
God wants us to have good things right now, including healing and prosperity for example (3 John v 2).
The new covenant is all about what Jesus has done and what we have received as a result.
The new covenant is all about what already has been done.
We have already been forgiven and reconciled to God (Ephesians 1 v 7 and 2 Corinthians 5 v 17 and 18).
As a gift of grace through faith in Jesus we have already been made righteous (2 Corinthians 5 v 17).
Because of the finished work of Jesus Christ and our faith in that we already have all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1 v 3).
We are not meant to be waiting for blessings from God, we are meant to be enjoying those blessings right now.
Can you see that Ephesians 1 v 3 is a verse in the past tense?
We already have all spiritual blessings; indeed we already have all we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3).
We have it all now, we have all we need already, and God has already provided for all we need through Jesus and the new covenant.
It is time to stop looking forward and start enjoying these blessings.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that through Jesus you have already provided me with all spiritual blessings”.
Ephesians 1 v 3…..Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
