Yesterday I wrote about mind renewal with regards to improving the words that we speak; if we can control our tongue in an area we can see improvement in that area of our life.
This truth can be read about in other parts of Scripture; take 3 John 2 for example.
This is a great truth that seems to be hidden from many believers today, the truth that God wants us to be living in prosperity and health and that He wants this above all things.
Many of us tolerate illness and especially poverty thinking that this is what the Christian life should be like.
The Christian life should be about abundance in both wealth and health, that is what Jesus died to purchase for us as part of His “sozo package”.
3 John also gives us a model of how to see this abundance in our lives. It is written that we may see abundance “even as our soul prospereth”.
The soul is our mind, will and emotions and this is saying that we must first “see” this abundance in our thought life first.
As we see it in our mind, will and emotions we will see it in our physical life.
In other words we must renew our minds to the truth that we are meant to live in health and prosperity, that this is what God wants for every single one of us.
Everything we do and see in life starts as a thought, both good things and bad things.
Sin and death (loss of blessings) comes from our lusts or thoughts (James 1 v 14 and 15).
In the same way health and abundance starts with the way we think about ourselves and about what God wants for us.
Line up your thoughts with the truth in the Word about Jesus and His finished work and you will see health and abundance come to you.
Speak this out….”Thank you Lord that above all things you want me to live in health and prosperity”.
3 John 2…..Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth
