DIG for Tuesday the 13th of October…..just like mathematics, the basic truths never change…..3 John 2

I’ve been working today trying to remember some of the mathematics that I studied long ago.

The rules, laws and axioms came flooding back to me as I read them for the first time in years; the good thing was that they had not changed since I last studied them.

There are basic laws of mathematics called axioms that are foundational and fundamental truths, they never change.

This reminded me that we also have these in our faith, foundational and fundamental truths that do not change and will never change.

The truth that we have been forgiven by God and reconciled to God is fundamental and foundational (Ephesians 1 v 7 and 2 Corinthians 5 v 18 and 19)

The truth that if we have believed and trusted in Jesus and His finished work we have been saved and made righteous is fundamental and foundational (Romans 10 v 9 and 2 Corinthians 5 v 21).

The truth that if we are saved we have also been made whole in terms of health and prosperity is fundamental and foundational (1 Peter 2 v 24 and 2 Corinthians 8 v 9).

These truths will never change, no matter what we see or feel going on around us, and they are fundamental and foundational truths that we must always believe.

God is a good God (that is also a fundamental and foundational truth) and He only wants good things for us, hence our forgiveness, reconciliation, salvation, righteousness, health and prosperity.

Never forget these truths; rehearse these truths in your mind and speak them out every single day.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have been forgiven, reconciled, saved and made righteous, healthy and prosperous”.

3 John 2…..Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth

DIG for Monday the 12th of October…..what is vital is how to live now…..John 10 v 10

When is Jesus coming back? What will happen when He comes back? Will we live through the Tribulation? How long with the Tribulation last?

These are question that seem to be discussed on FB and in blogs all the time, and people seem to get rather heated during the discussion.

I have to say I’m not sure how to answer any of these questions, and to be honest I’m not that bothered.

What is more important to me is how I live this life that I have right now.

When Jesus comes back is up to the Lord and not for us to know.

All I know is that on the day of judgement (whenever that is) I will be able to boldly approach the throne of grace; and that is all I need to know for now.

What is more important is to understand what we have now through the finished work of Jesus Christ and how to see this manifest in our lives.

Understanding healing and prosperity and how to see this in our lives are what are important now.

Questions about the timing of the return of Jesus and what will happen could be said to be interesting but in my view not important.

The important point is that Jesus has come already, and came to destroy the works of the devil so that we might live in abundance, not to live worrying and fretting about when He is coming back.

In the words of Christian Aid, I believe in life before death.

Our focus needs to be on understanding what we have right now, what we have been given to live an abundant life.

What will happen when Jesus comes back will happen, and that is for the Lord to decide, it is not for us to fear or argue over.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus Christ and thank you for the healing and abundance that I can live in right now”.

John 10 v 10…..The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
