Today I was preaching from the epistle to the Galatians and I had a great time!
Now I know preaching is not about me enjoying myself, however it is exciting and fun to take the Word and expound it to His people.
I can honestly say that reading and studying the Bible (in order to teach on this occasion) is fun and exciting.
Once you get the revelation that the Bible is the Word of God and it is the main vehicle that He speaks to us you should be excited.
Once you realise that understanding His Word is the vehicle for lasting and permanent change (or transformation through mind renewal) in your life you should get exited (Romans 12 v 2).
If the Word of God does not excite you I don’t think you’ve had a real revelation of what it really is and of its power.
If I were to say that I was holding a meeting where I could guarantee that God would speak to every single person who attended, the venue would be packed with Christians “looking for a word”.
Yet most of those Christians would not go to a meeting advertised as a Bible study.
However at a Bible study where you get into His Word you are indeed guaranteed to have God speak to you.
The Bible is full of truth about Jesus and it is knowledge of Him that can lead you into a life of fullness and godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3).
Does the Bible excite you today?
Are you willing and eager to open it and hear from God this morning?
It is your choice!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your Word, and thank you for the freedom that we have to delve into your Word”.
2 Timothy 3 v 16 and 17…..All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be thoroughly furnished unto all good works
