“Please heal me”, “Please forgive me”, “Please provide for my food and rent”.
These are all things we may have said to God over the years.
Do you know that these kinds of statements or requests are completely inappropriate for us living under grace and under the new covenant?
God provides all the healing, forgiveness and prosperity that we will ever need, and in fact He has already provided this.
Ephesians 1 v 3 is a verse in the past tense; He has already blessed us with all we need.
He has already given to us all that we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3).
Again this is a verse in the past tense, it is about something that God has already done.
Jesus’ finished work on the cross has provided all the forgiveness, healing and abundance that any one will ever need.
Faith, understanding and belief are what will see this flow in our lives, not pleas and requests to God.
No amount of begging and pleading will get God to forgive us more, heal us more or make us live in more abundance.
Through Jesus He has done all He has to do in this area.
The rest is down to us, or as one teacher in the Kingdom says, “Believe and receive, or doubt and do without”.
Jesus has made the provision and it is now down to us to receive through faith, knowledge, belief and understanding.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus Christ and for the bountiful provision that this has provided for me”.
Ephesians 1 v 3…..Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
