DIG for Saturday the 9th of January…..we just need to receive what He has already freely given us…..Ephesians 1 v 3

Some people find it very difficult, sometimes impossible, to accept gifts and good things from other people.

I had an experience of this lately when someone was blessed by another, yet felt obliged to pay back the original gift so that they in a sense had paid for it themselves, even though it was given out of love and given voluntarily.

There are many Christians dealing with God in a similar way.

God, through His Son Jesus has given the born again believer all they need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1 v 3).

God, through Jesus, has blessed us with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1 v 3).

Yet many are still trying to do things in their own effort, thinking this is what brings the blessings of God.

Knowledge and understanding of Jesus and His finished work is what manifests the blessings of God in our lives, not our works or religious performance.

Our lives are changed for the better (by seeing God’s blessings coming true in our lives) through the renewal of our mind to the goodness of God (Romans 12 v 2).

We do not need to “pay” God back for His blessings; Jesus has paid all that needs to be paid.

All we need to do now is believe and receive.

For some people that is hard, but the Lord does indeed want you to have His best and have it for free.

He wants above all things that you live in health and prosperity (3 John 2).

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you want the best for me and you have already made provision for this through the finished work of your Son”.

Ephesians 1 v 3…..Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ
