DIG for Tuesday the 19th of January…..don’t just sit waiting for God to solve your problems…..2 Peter 1 v 3

God cannot and will not come and fix all your problems!

That may sound like a rather condemning statement; it may also sound very harsh.

However it is the truth, and I think it has the ability to set you free.

There are too many born again believers sitting around thinking that God will come and solve their issues and problems; thinking that God is waiting for some reason before coming in to “zap” them straight.

The truth is that God has already provided all you need for a good and fruitful life, and all you need to live with less sin in that life (2 Peter 1 v 3).

He has provided for this through the finished work of Jesus Christ and we see the goodness and godliness manifested if we increase our knowledge of Him.

This is what 2 Peter 1 v 3 is saying.

If we learn, believe and understand about what Jesus has done for us we will see our problems being replaced with life and godliness.

God has done what He needs to do.

Jesus has done what He needs to do.

In order to see your problems solved you need to do your bit; and that bit is obtaining more understanding about Jesus, or in other words renewing your mind.

You have the key to solving your problems and that is what I call liberty.

You should not be sitting around waiting for anyone or anything (or even God) to come along and sort you out.

You can sort yourself out by renewing your mind to the truths about Jesus in His Word.

Speak this out…..”Thank you Lord that you have already provided all I need for life and godliness through knowledge of Jesus Christ”.

2 Peter 1 v 3….According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue
