Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10 v 10).
Jesus did not come so that we would have to scrape by just making ends meet.
This can be seen in the picture of Him feeding the five thousand.
Once seated Jesus took the five loaves and two fishes, blessed it, and handed to His disciples, who then distributed it to the people (Matthew 14 v 17 to 19).
All the people ate (that is five thousand men and also the women and children with them) until they were filled, they did not just get a mouthful each.
The word filled literally means to fodder, to gorge on a supply of food in abundance.
When Jesus provided food He provided it in abundance.
When Jesus supplied healing He supplied it in abundance; many times we see ALL the people being healed.
In this account all the people were completely satisfied with plenty left over.
The same is true today; we can be completely satisfied in terms of healing and abundance with plenty being left over.
When Jesus paid for our sins on the cross He over paid, so that there would be an over supply of abundance for all His people.
All the good things that Jesus has supplied for us came form the riches of glory in Heaven and of that there is no shortage of supply.
We are meant to live in abundance; that is what the Word says (John 10 v 10 and 3 John 2).
Don’t let yourself fall for the lie that poverty and illness is part of the life that the Lord wants for you.
Speak this out today….”Thank you Lord for the abundance and healing that you have provided for me through the finished work of Jesus Christ”.
