I am not going to write about this verse tonight, what it did was remind me about something else.
This verse reminds us that we should put on all the armour that God has provided; we should not pick and choose what section of armour to put and what to ignore.
Paul tells the Ephesians to put on the whole armour in order to fight off the devil.
It reminded me that we should “put on” and receive everything that God through Jesus has provided for me.
Jesus provided forgiveness and reconciliation for all men through His shed blood.
Jesus provided salvation if people will accept it.
This is OK and we seem to accept this however many people in the church do not accept the rest of the “sozo package”.
Jesus also provided healing and prosperity, yet much of the church refuses to believe and receive this.
In my experience many believe that God prefers us to live in poverty, and many believe that He puts illness on us in order to improve us.
This is just not true; God wants us to live in health and abundance (3 John 2), and He has provided for this through the finished work of Jesus Christ.
I urge you to accept the whole package that Jesus died for, and urge you to accept all that He has provided for you.
Like Paul urging us to put on the whole armour of God, I suggest that we accept the whole sozo package.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus Christ, and thank you for all that you have provided for me”.
Ephesians 6 v 11…..Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil
