I am always looking for pictures and analogies to describe Kingdom principles and I found a good (and funny) one at our Bible study last night.
We were talking about what I call the “sozo package”; that is, all the good things that Jesus provided for believers through His finished work on the cross.
Jesus paid for all our sins on the cross, however he also took illness and poverty to the cross so that we could live in health and abundance.
He came so that we could have an abundant life (John 10 v 10).
He came to provide what God wants for us above all things i.e. health and prosperity (3 John 2).
The trouble with some Christians is that they are not aware of ALL that Jesus has provided.
And even when they are told some cannot or will not accept that healing and prosperity is part of the “sozo package”.
At our study someone said, “It is like not using all that you have paid for in an all inclusive package holiday”.
And I though, yes, that is exactly what it is like.
If you had paid in advance for all your food, ice cream and drinks for example and then didn’t eat or drink any of it on holiday you would be pretty silly.
It would be crazy not to accept the ice cream when offered.
God, through the finished work of Jesus Christ has offered us healing and prosperity; how daft is it if we don’t accept it?
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that through the finished work of Jesus you have already provided for my health and my prosperity”.
John 10 v 10…..The thief cometh not, but fro to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
