DIG for Saturday the 12th of March…..let’s get to the big issue……Ephesians 1 v 7

There is one issue that I preach on that gets me into more trouble than any other, and that is the unconditional forgiveness we have received through the shed blood of Jesus.

This is actually one of the foundational truths that the New Covenant is built upon, yet it is one of the biggest secrets in the church today.

Go into the majority of churches and you will still be told to ask for forgiveness or asked to confess your sins in order to receive forgiveness.

The truth is that neither of these is necessary.

A brief study of the Word of God will show you that you have already been forgiven because of the finished work of Jesus (Ephesians 1 v 7 and Colossians 1 v 14).

All sin for all time was forgiven when the blood of Jesus was shed on the cross.

All your sins have already been forgiven, in fact they were forgiven about two thousand years ago.

We have been forgiven and redeemed because of what Jesus has done, this is the foundation of New Covenant truth.

There was, and is, nothing that we can do ourselves to be forgiven.

We were forgiven out of the riches of God’s grace, because of His Son.

I have written about this many times and I will write about it many times again; this is a fundamental truth that if understood will change the life of a believer.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I have already been forgiven for all my sins, past, present and future”.

Ephesians 1 v 7…..In whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace
