DIG for Wednesday the 6th of April…..so what are you thankful for…..1 Thessalonians 5 v 18

This morning I woke up with a wonderful feeling of thankfulness, and also joy and peace.

I was thankful that I woke up next to my wife Nunsy, the love of my life and my best friend.

I was thankful to be in good relationships with all my children and my granddaughter (who is my pride and joy).

I was thankful that I had been blessed with the work of my hands, thankful that I had a roof over my head as the rain came battering down.

I was thankful for the talents and skills given to me by the Lord, leading to lots of work to do resulting in abundance.

I was thankful that I could push this work aside for a while and instead go for breakfast and a wee walk with a couple of good friends.

I was thankful for this wonderful creation that we live in; by the time we went for a walk the sun was out, showing off the daffodils and the cherry blossom to full effect.

I was thankful for the fellowship that God had placed me in to pastor, thankful for the ministry that I am involved in.

As you can see I have lots to be thankful for, and I’ve not even spoken about reconciliation, forgiveness, salvation and righteousness!

And the same is true for you; if you sit down and think about it I am sure there are things you are thankful for.

So, what are you thankful for?

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for all that you have done for me and all that you have given me, thank you”.

1 Thessalonians 5 v 18…..In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you
