DIG for Monday the 2nd of May…..as long as the Gospel is being furthered they can say what they like…..Philippians 1 v 12

In the dim and distant past, at the start of my ministry ‘career’, I used to get upset at some of the criticism I received for my doctrine and teachings.

That was until my wife Nunsy enlightened through with Philippians 1 v 12.

When you preach and teach something that is considered ‘controversial’ (even when it is the Gospel!) others will talk about it and not always in a positive light.

“Have you heard that Vic teaches that all our sins, past, present and future, have been forgiven?”

“Did you know that the pastor at MGF has said that if we are born again we are made as righteous as God?”

“I cannot believe what Pastor Vic is saying, how dare he say that above all things God wants us to live in health and prosperity, he is always teaching his flock that they can all live in abundance”.

Yes, these are all things that have been said and probably will be said in the future.

What is great about this is that while people are complaining and whining they are actually speaking out the Gospel, they are speaking out the truths that I have been teaching. The Gospel is being ‘furthered’ through this process.

Yes I may be receiving abuse, I may be spoken about and against, but the Gospel is being furthered.

This is what Paul is talking about in Philippians 1 v 12.

It did not matter what has happening to him even if it was negative, as long as the Gospel was being furthered it was fine.

And the same is true today.

Who cares what people say and think about us as long as the Gospel is being furthered?

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the Gospel, thank you for the truth that has changed my life”

Philippians 1 v 12…..But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unit me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel
