Like and grace are just like oil and water, they do not mix!
Or rather we should not try and mix them, law and grace that is.
Yet in churches across the length and breadth of the country this weekend law and grace will be mixed.
We will hear the preacher thank Jesus for His shed blood and its redemptive work, yet he will also tell us to ask for forgiveness during communion.
We will hear preachers thank God for His bountiful provision and blessings, yet he will insist that we tithe in order to be blessed.
Mixture, mixture, mixture; one of the biggest problems in the church today.
Mixture; the by-product of religion.
Law and grace should never be mixed, they are two separate covenants for separate times.
Law was for the Jewish nation, to ‘keep them in check’ and show them their need for a Saviour.
Grace is for all and is for today.
Law was a system based upon your efforts; grace is a system based upon the work of Jesus.
Law has passed and grace is here right now.
We no longer live under law but under grace, and we should start living as if we believe this.
Rest in the grace of Jesus instead of trusting in your own efforts.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I am living under grace, thank you for the finished work of Jesus”.
