As I wrote yesterday we now live under grace and not under law.
Under law people HAD to perform in order to be blessed.
Under grace there still has to be ‘performance’, however we know that the work has been completed already by Jesus.
Jesus shed His blood for our forgiveness and reconciliation (Ephesians 1 v 7 and 2 Corinthians 5 v 18 and 19).
Jesus took on ALL our sin so that we could be MADE righteous.
Law required man to be good, under grace Jesus was perfect.
Moses gave the law, under inspiration of God, and man had to work.
Jesus brought in grace, and therefore the New Covenant through His finished work.
We cannot perform any work in order to be forgiven, reconciled and made righteous.
We are all forgiven and reconciled to God because of the shed blood of Jesus, and we are made righteous as a gift of grace through faith.
Grace is all about Jesus, law would be all about us.
Fortunately we live under grace, and we should not even be talking about law!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I live under grace and not law”.
2 Corinthians 5 v 21…..For he hath made him to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him
