If you read my DIGs on a regular basis it should be pretty evident that I write about the same things over and over again.
You will read about the finished work of Jesus, about unconditional and complete forgiveness through the blood of Jesus, about you being made righteous as a gift of grace through faith, and I could go on and on.
There are certain truths in the Word that we as believers need to hear again and again and again.
Paul writes this to Titus, a church leader and his son in the faith (Titus 1 v 4); he also writes it to everyone teaching in the church today.
Teachers (and pastors and preachers) need to affirm constantly, tell again and again, the truths that Paul feels are the most important.
This is the truth that Jesus came, that we might be saved through His work as a gift of grace and not through our own self-effort (Titus 3 v 4 to 7).
This is the message of grace, this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ and it is this that is to be affirmed constantly.
My prayer is that this is what I write about daily in my DIGs; at least it is what I honestly attempt to do.
But I know these things Vic, I’m a believer Vic, shouldn’t you be taking me deeper and telling unbelievers these things?
No, these truths need to be affirmed constantly to His church, to “they which have believed in God”; that is what Paul said and that is what I will keep doing.
If you want “something else” or “something new” you will need to look elsewhere!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your unchanging truths in the Word, and think you for faithful teachers who constantly affirm these truths”.
Titus 3 v 8…..This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men
