This is my 1,470th DIG; yes I have been writing DIGs since the 9th of July 2012.
I felt that the Lord led me to write DIGs in order to give me some self-discipline and also to ensure I “got into the Word” every day.
Now, as well as getting into the Word and blessing me, I am sure they bless many people every day right across the globe.
I’m not writing this to show how good I am, but to help illustrate what I believe to be a Biblical principle.
If God tells you to do something keep doing it until He tells you to stop or tells you to do something different.
Take Elijah for example; He stayed where he was, ‘here’, until he was told to go ‘there’.
He was told to go to the brook, where the provision would be found, and he stayed there until he was told to go to the widow.
He was only told to go once the Lord had set in place His provisions for Elijah (1 Kings 17 v 8 and 9).
The Bible says he “did according to the word of the Lord”; that is great advice, both for him and for all of us!
God knows what is best for each one of us and if He says “go there” or “stay here” we really should obey.
Depending upon what God says will decide where our resources and provisions are to be found, they will be either here or there and it is surely best for us to be where these provisions are.
So until I hear otherwise from the Lord I will be staying here writing my DIGs, getting to my 1,500th soon and maybe even my 2,000th.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you have a great plan and purpose for my life”.
1 Kings 17 v 9…..Arise, get thee to Zaraphath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee
