DIG for Thursday the 4th of August……your identity is in His actions not in your actions…..2 Corinthians 1 v 1

In church this week a dear brother stood up and testified that he had done some silly things and started condemning himself, however he now knows that he is still redeemed, righteous and forgiven.

This is a fantastic revelation to get in your life.

Before we were born again we were sinners and we committed sin; in this state our identity was a sinner.

After being born again our true identity becomes a saint.

After being born again we are still able and well to commit sin, but that does not make us s sinner, we stay a saint.

You see, our new identity once we have been born again comes as a gift of grace through faith because of the finished work of Jesus.

Our new identity is due to the actions of Jesus not our own actions.

Before you were born again your actions could not make you a saint, so as a believer your actions cannot remove your saintly identity.

We are still capable of sin due to having a mind that has not been renewed.

But the good news is that we are still saints, whatever we do!

Paul wrote to the church at Corinth, a church still known for its carnality, yet he calls them saints (2 Corinthians 1 v 1).

Irrespective of what the believers at Corinth were doing Paul classed them as saints.

The same is true for us.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you lord that I am a saint and will always be a saint”.

2 Corinthians 1 v 1…..Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God whish is ay Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia
