While talking about Gideon last night one of the guys pointed out Judges 7 v 15.
This I think is the pivotal verse in the account of Gideon; how an ordinary man (operating in the supernatural power of the Lord) leads the people out of the hands of the Midianites.
The battle has not taken place yet, however Gideon declares that the battle has been won and they had been delivered.
He declared in the past tense an event that had not occurred yet, so great was his assurance in the words of the Lord.
This is a lesson we can learn and utilise today.
If we are looking for healing or prosperity, joy or peace or provision to be manifest in our lives we can declare it as having already taken place.
Living under the New Covenant, full of promises due to the finished work of Jesus Christ, we can speak out and worship knowing full well that what we need has already been provided.
On the cross Jesus provided all the healing, all the prosperity, all the abundance that we will ever need.
His Word promises it so we can be assured it is there for us.
Knowing this truth we can worship (as Gideon did) and we can speak out this truth in confidence and assurance.
Do you have a need this morning?
Has it been promised through the finished work of Jesus?
Well, get into a state of worship and thank the Lord that your need or provision is about to be made manifest!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the bountiful provision you have made available to me through the finished work of Jesus Christ”.
Judges 7 v 15…..And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the Lord hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian
