I’ve been thinking this morning about how thankful I am for my life and the people and things in my life.
I am thankful for my wife, a marvellous woman who still loves me.
I am thankful for my children, all grown up and going their own way in the world.
I am thankful for my granddaughter, the apple of my eye.
I am thankful for the home that I live in.
I am thankful for the work that I do and thankful for my partners in ministry who allow me the privilege of also working in ministry.
I am thankful that this morning as I’ve been with my granddaughter, and now at home listening to her singing and dancing upstairs.
I am thankful for the church that I lead and the brothers and sisters that I share fellowship with.
I am thankful for my friends that I will see at football today and those that I will see at church tomorrow.
And above all else I am thankful for the finished work of Jesus and all that it means for me.
And as I have been pondering these and writing them down I have to say I feel fantastic.
Being thankful is therapeutic; it is good for you!
I challenge you today to take some time out and write down all things that you are thankful for.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for Jesus and all that He has done for me”.
Philippians 4 v 4 to 7…..Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
