I have often written that many of the accounts that we read in the Old Testament are types, shadows and pictures, alluding to deep spiritual truths.
Yes, they are literal also, however many are pictures for us.
Take Noah and the ark for example.
There are debates in the church today as to whether the account of Noah and the ark was literal.
I don’t want to get into this debate today, what I want to show you is that this is clearly a picture of Jesus.
Noah and his family were the only people saved from the flood; they were saved as they were in the ark.
The only route to salvation today is in Jesus.
As we saw yesterday this the only way to come to the Father (John 14 v 6).
If you are in Christ you have been saved and made righteous.
In the account of Noah every single person outwith the ark ended up dead; they did not live through the flood.
The only way to life was to be in the ark.
Jesus is the only way to life (and life in abundance) today (John 14 v 6).
Life without Jesus is not a life; it is merely an existence.
You need to be in Christ to have life today.
Speak this out today…..”Thank You Lord that I am in Christ, and thank you that through this I have life and life in abundance”.
Genesis 7 v 1…..And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation
