DIG for Tuesday the 6th of September…..do not lose a single morsel of what He has provided, eat it all up…..John 6 v 12

As well as meeting individuals Jesus met large groups of people as we read through the Book of John.

In chapter 6 we see one of the more famous miracles of Jesus, one that most people know, the feeding in the five thousand.

In this miracle Jesus actually fed far more people than five thousand, as it was only the men that were counted, not the woman and children.

This if course is a miracle giving a picture of the abundant life that Jesus came to bring us (John 10 v 10).

The people did not just eat a mouthful or two; the Word says that they were filled (John 6 v 12).

One word hit me as I was reading this today though, and the word was lost.

Jesus told the disciples to pick up what He had provided so that nothing would be lost.

This implies that what Jesus had provided could have been lost and wasted.

This is so true today!

Many of us ‘lose’ what Jesus has provided in terms of health and wholeness, prosperity and abundance.

Many of us in the church do not ‘believe’ in healing and prosperity, even when the Word is clear that this is part of our ‘sozo’ package (John 10 v 10, 1 Peter 2 v 24, 2 Corinthians 8 v 9 and 3 John 2).

An understanding of His Word will ensure that we know ALL that He has given to us through His finished work.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for all that Jesus has provided for me; help me ensure that I do not miss out on a single thing He did for me”.

John 6 v 12…..When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost
