In my last message at church I used what I call the ‘once’ chapter, Hebrews 10.
This passage tells us how many times Jesus had to sacrifice Himself for sin.
He offered one sacrifice for all sin then sat down with the Father (Hebrews 10 v 12).
He made only one offering (Hebrews 10 v 14).
One sacrifice so we had better hope that this was enough, as Jesus is not coming back to sacrifice Himself again.
All sin has been dealt with, yes, even your sin in the future.
If you believe your past sin has been forgiven then you have to believe that your future sin has been forgiven, as when Jesus dealt with sin ALL your sin was in the future!
Hebrews 10 v 12 said Jesus paid for “sin for ever”, that means all your sin.
When He dealt with sin Jesus did a perfect job; a job so perfect that God the Father decided to remember you sins and iniquities no more (Hebrews 10 v 17).
At the cross Jesus dealt with ALL your sin and you were forgiven for ALL your sin (Ephesians 1 v 7 and Colossians 1 v 14).
You were forgiven once; you now live in a state of forgiveness, and that is good news!
You no longer need to look for forgiveness from God and you no longer need to ask for forgiveness; the Word is clear that this occurred at the cross.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you for the finished work of Jesus Christ and thank you that He dealt with ALL my sin once and for all at the cross”.
Hebrews 10 v 12…..But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sin for ever, sat down on the right hand of God
