Proverbs is a book I return to again and again looking for ‘little nuggets’ of truth.
My attention was brought to Proverbs 4 v 20 to 22 today with regards to a fellow believer’s search for physical healing.
We are told to give attention to His words; that means to take an interest in and be involved in studying the Word of God.
We are told to incline our ears; that means to actively listen, I see it as reaching out and being eager to listen and be taught.
We are told not to let them depart from our eyes; that means to keep looking at the Word.
We are told to keep them in the midst of our heart; this means to love and cherish the Word of God and keep focusing on it.
So what happens if we do this?
Well, the Word says this will bring us life and health (Proverbs 4 v 22).
And indeed this is what happened to the believer who was searching for healing.
He paid attention to the Word of God, actively listened to the Lord, kept reading these words and loving what he was reading.
This believer then saw full healing.
And the same can be true for us.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your Word and thank you that it is life and healing to all my flesh”.
Proverbs 4 v 20 to 22…..My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh
