What a lot of believers do not understand is that Jesus took far more than our sin on the cross.
The cross, and what would happen there, was described by Isaiah long before it actually happened.
He said Jesus would bear our griefs and carry our sorrows on the cross (Isaiah 53 v 4).
In the Hebrew griefs actually means sicknesses and sorrows means pains.
On the cross Jesus took our sickness and pain in order that we could live in health.
Isaiah goes on to say that by his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53 v 5).
This is confirmed in New Covenant Scripture where Peter wrote virtually the same thing (1 Peter 2 v 24).
One of the exchanges on the cross was our sickness and pain for His supernatural health.
God the Father wants above all things for us to live in health (3 John 2).
He provided for this wish through the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
Supernatural health is part of the sozo package, part of the abundant life that Jesus died for you to have.
Healing is a ‘right’ for the born again believer.
Healing is something that has been provided for, it is not something that God decides to give to some and withhold from others.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the healing that you have already provided for me through the finished work of Jesus”.
Isaiah 53 v 4…..Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows, and yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted
