DIG for Monday the 19th of September……of course it is physical healing…..Matthew 8 v 14 and 15

But Vic, the healing that you speak of from Isaiah 53 is spiritual healing and nothing to do with physical healing.

This is what I have heard many times when I teach about healing being part of the finished work of Jesus, part of our salvation.

My reply is, but what about Matthew 8 v 14 to 17 then?

When Jesus came into Peter’s house his mother in law was sick with fever; this was clearly a physical ailment and nothing to do with her spirit.

Jesus healed this woman and she got up and went about her business again.

The Greek in this passage clearly says that that issue was physical (we can even see that from the English translation).

The Word goes on to say that Jesus did this in order to fulfil what was written by the prophet Isaiah (Matthew 8 v 17).

The verse in question is Isaiah 53 v 4, where we were told Jesus would bear our griefs (sicknesses) and carry our sorrows (pains).

This verse is talking about physical sickness and physical pain as that is what Jesus clearly dealt with for Peter’s mother in law.

She was ill in her body and Jesus healed her, showing that Isaiah 53 v 4 and 5 is talking about the physical realm.

Healing is there for us today and it is physical healing; do not let religion and wrong interpretation of the Bible steal this form you.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for the finished work of Jesus and thank you for the healing provide in this salvation”.

Matthew 8 v 14 and 15…..And when Jesus was come into Peter’s house, he saw his wife’s mother laid, and sick of a fever. And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them
