DIG for Sunday the 30th of October…..you have a philosophy, even if you don’t think you do…..Proverbs 23 v 7

Many people think philosophy is a difficult subject that intelligent people study at university.

Well, it can be this, but it is also simply a way of thinking, a mindset.

Every single one of us has a philosophy, or many philosophies to be exact.

Pessimism and optimism are opposing philosophies, or opposing mindsets; we can be described as pessimistic or optimistic depending on the way we think.

Paul in his epistles to the church at Colossae warns us about certain philosophies, or the ways of thinking.

He says we can be spoiled, or taken capture and stolen, by certain ways of thinking.

He is warning us against the way of thinking from men and the world instead of ways of thinking from God.

The world tells us we will get sick at certain times of the year, yet the Word says we are healed; what philosophy or way of thinking do you have with regards to this?

How you think, what philosophy you have, impacts directly on your life.

You should know now that one of my favourite verse in the Word is Proverbs 23 v 7.

As a man thinketh so is he; the philosophy a man has directs the course of his life.

Philosophy, or systems of though and mindsets, is important for every single one of us.

Don’t let the enemy steal from you with his evil philosophies, make sure you know God’s thoughts!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for your Word where we can see what and how you think”.

Proverbs 23 v 7…..For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee
