DIG for Sunday the 27th of November…..what a wonderful act of service, He cooked them breakfast…..John 21 v 9

In church yesterday I preached about Jesus being our supreme examples with regards to how we should serve people, serve our neighbours.

I will write about foot washing later however today I want to focus on another amazing act of service Jesus administered to His disciples.

In John 21 we see Jesus coming to the disciples once again after His death and resurrection.

What do we see Jesus doing after the disciples came in from the sea?

Did He preach to them?

Did He perform a wonderful miracle to show who He was?

Did He give them some awesome doctrine to share with the world?

No, He cooked them breakfast!

He served them as a servant would; he cooked a meal and gave it to them.

Jesus, King of Kings and Lord of Creation, made a fire, grilled some fish and baked some bread.

This shows to us the heart of Jesus, a heart of compassion and service.

This shows to us the heart that we should have when serving others.

Jesus is a Lord and Saviour that is concerned about all our needs.

Jesus is a Lord and Saviour Who is prepared to serve in order to fulfil those needs.

This is the example we should follow.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that we can look to the example of Jesus and see how to serve our neighbours”.

John 21 v 9…..As soon then as they come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread
