I was saddened this morning to see a post of Facebook saying that God had struck American with the Twin Towers disaster and that He had judged Russia and turned it into a Third World country.
If this was the case then Jesus coming to earth as a man, dying on the cross and being raised from the dead was a waste of time.
If God still requires to judge nations and people for sin then Jesus’ work was not the finished work that I keep writing about.
If God still requires to judge nations and people we should rip Hebrews 9 and 10 from our Bibles, as Jesus would not have dealt with all sin forever at the cross (Hebrews 10 v 12 and 14).
If God requires to judge nations and people then Jesus was a liar as He said, “It is finished” (John 19 v 30).
Jesus came in the flesh as a man to deal with all the sin of mankind, past, present and future.
Jesus took all this sin (and sickness), all the judgement, on His body at the cross so there is nothing left to judge with regards to sin.
If God were to judge a nation for their sin He would actually be judging the work of Jesus Christ as not good enough.
I know that is not true, I know His work was perfect, a once for all work.
He came in the flesh so that He could perform this finished work.
We celebrate His coming at this time of year, coming as Emmanuel to be among us and coming as Jesus to save us from our sin.
If He was successful in His mission God will not judge any nation ever again!
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that the finished work of Jesus was a perfect and once for all work”.
John 19 v 30…..When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost
