DIG for Sunday the 1st of January…..we can learn to control our bodies with our words…..Proverbs 18 v 21

As you will have gathered in the last few DIGs I have an amazing regard for the people of India that we are meeting.

We are praying for many people especially women, who are suffering with pain in their backs, necks and knees through the years of constant hard work.

Many people are being healed however we are trying to teach then people that they can take control of their bodies and deal with the pain as it is starting or even before it starts.

This seems to be a new concept to the people here, but it is an important principle that can really help them if they grasp it.

At home we have taught our fellowship to speak out positive words over their bodies, showing them in the Word that this is a Biblical principle.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue is what the Word of God says (Proverbs 18 v 21).

We can either speak death (bad and negative words) or life (good and positive words) over our bodies (and of course also over other things such as our families, our jobs and our education for example).

Our words have creative power and can change the physical world; that is what it means to have death and life in the power of our tongue.

When our bodies get sore we could say, “Oh well, I’ve been working hard so I should expect some pain”.

Or we could say, “The Bible says I can talk to my mountain (pain) and tell it to be gone”.

We could also say, “By His stripes I was healed so body be healed”.

It is our choice to speak out life or death over any situation, including our bodies.

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that death and life are in the power of my tongue, so today I choose to speak life over my body”.

Proverbs 18 v 21…..Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof
