I remember one time on church asking the fellowship the following questions –
“Who thinks that they are a wise person?”
“Who thinks they are mighty?”
“Who are noble?”
Of course, no one put up his or her hands to any of these questions, which is exactly what I had hoped for.
I then asked them this question –
“Do you ever feel foolish and weak?”
Well, nearly everybody put his or her hands up for that!
I then told them that because of their answers God called them all for a specific purpose.
God cannot use people who think they are wise, mighty or noble in their own strength and ways.
He wants people who have to rely on what they have from God, who really on God working through them.
God can use submissive and obedient people not those who are proud of their own achievements and strengths.
This is what Paul wrote to the saints in Corinth in 1 Corinthians 1 v 26 to 29, and it is the same thing we are being told today.
We may do foolish things and be weak at times, we may not feel mighty, wise and noble, but this is exactly the type of person that God can and will use for the furtherance of His Kingdom.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that you have a plan and purpose for me in your Kingdom”.
1 Corinthians 1 v 26…..For ye see your calling brethren, now not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called
