There are verses that I return to in the Word again and again, so obviously write about in my DIGs again and again.
One such verse is Philippians 4 v 4.
Sometimes verses in the Bible are difficult to understand.
Some times verses could be discussed and argued over with people able to take different views and opinions as to what it means.
But Philippians 4 v 4 is not such a verse.
This verse is crystal clear, this verse is easy to understand; this verse does not need an explanation from a respected theologian!
We are to rejoice, rejoice in the Lord at all times and rejoice no matter what our circumstances are.
We are to rejoice when times are good and times are bad.
We are to rejoice when times are easy and times are difficult.
We are to rejoice in the rain and in the sunshine.
But that is really difficult you may be saying.
Well, it is not if our focus is on the Lord and the things of the Lord.
No matter what circumstances we are in we can rejoice that we have been forgiven and reconciled, made righteous and saved.
If we are alive and breathing and if we are focussing on the Lord we are able to rejoice; it is simply a conscious choice that we have to make.
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord for all the good things I have in my life through the finished work of Jesus”.
Philippians 4 v 4…..Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice
