One of the things that I truly love about the Christian faith is that all born again believers are the same in the eyes of God.
We may not be the same in the eyes of some believers and by some denominations, but in the eyes of God we are all the same.
In writing to the Galatian church Paul speaks of the three things that made people different in the context of when the letter was written.
He said there was neither Jew nor Greek; so no difference according to race.
He said there was neither bond nor free; so no difference according to class.
He said there was neither male nor female; so no difference according to sex.
I would suggest that these three groups are where we see differences in church (and society) today so we can learn a lot from this verse written almost two thousand years ago.
In the eyes of God believers were the same in the times of Paul and today there is no difference.
We are all the same no matter where we were born, who our parents were and what sex we are.
And as a result we (the church, the body of believers) should treat everyone the same!
I wonder if we do treat everyone the same, or do we still have biases and prejudices (like the rest of society).
Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that in your eyes we are all the same irrespective of gender, nationality and level in society”.
Galatians 3 28…..There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus
