DIG for Monday the 27th of February…..family even though we have never met…..Ephesians 1 v 5

We had a few visitors in church this morning, and it really was great to see them and meet them.

It really felt like we knew each other well, but this was the first time we had met.

You can feel a closeness to other believers though, as we have so much in common

For a start we have the same faith and beliefs and that obviously gives us a lot in common.

The real important thing here though is that (even though we had never met before) we are family.
Once born again we are adopted into the family of God with the same Heavenly Father, so we are family (Ephesians 1 v 5).

Yes, we may have never met each other but we are in the same family, which has the same values.

This is something I really enjoy, that I have brothers and sisters that I will continue to meet over the years.

Some I will never meet here on earth, but can you imagine the family party once we are all at home with our Heavenly Father?

Sometimes ‘earthly’ families drift apart, and that is a shame, but sometimes we do not have a lot in common with that family.

Having the same Saviour, same Word, same Holy Spirit and same Father God we should have more in common with our ‘spiritual’ brothers and sisters, than we have that could push us apart.

I hope and pray that you are in a fellowship that feels like family!

Speak this out today…..”Thank you Lord that I can have fellowship with my brothers and sisters and thanks for your love for every single one of us”.

Ephesians 1 v 5…..Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will
